Feline Hope would like to thank State Farm for its Good Neighbor Grant & Matching Gift program. Through this program any volunteer who is an employee of State Farm can perform volunteers hours for a grant or make a gift donation that State Farm will match.

Feline Hope works with most of the veterinarians on the Outer Banks who give us discount rates for spay and neuter to help us better serve our community. Many thanks to Coastal Animal Hospital, Eastern Shore Animal Hospital, Martin’s Point Veterinary Hospital, Outer Banks Veterinary Hospital, and Roanoke Island Animal Clinic.

Special Thanks to Dr. Dowty’s Mobile Clinic for being our official North Carolina State vet and working so closely with us. He is able to bring his Mobile Clinic right over to the shelter to do spay/neuter clinics or just to update all the kitties’ shots.

Feline Hope is a Hills Science Diet approved shelter and receives free food for the shelter kitties as well as 4 pound bags for each adopter. They also supply adopter books to explain how to care for their new cat or kitten and many posters.

Feline Hope has a lot of people that offer their help and services to our shelter. We wish to give a very big thank you to Action Plumbing out of Kitty Hawk, NC for the re-plumbing of our shelter and providing the latest technology in water heaters to our shelter.

The cats certainly appreciate it too! Action Plumbing offers emergency services to residences & businesses in the Outer Banks. John and Ryan have come over to the shelter several times to bail Feline Hope out of situations.

Through corporate sponsorships and community support we hope to have the participation of 300-400 guests at this 3rd annual event. Our goal is to have the majority of event services provided pro bono or at cost and a wide array of auction items that would result in a significant income. Given the current state of the economy, the tasks will be challenging but we are confident that the Outer Banks community will be generous and supportive of the event. The past 2 years events have been huge successes! Kelly’s always puts out a fantastic spread, Bill Reh & the Crowd deliver great tunes, and Kim Kalman has such a soulful voice!

For over ten years, The Cyberdog USA has distributed the finest pet foods & accessories on the market. Their philosophy is simple: they constantly strive to provide better ingredients and better nutrition for better health, no matter what the cost. They are dedicated to providing their customers with quality pet foods and healthy pet products that promote pet health.

Not only is Cyberdog, The Holistic Pet Shop, great for healthy pet food, it has assisted Feline Hope for almost 10 years to find homes for many of our kittens and teenagers. Deborah encourages us to bring them in and she and her staff, Joann & Amy, help us to screen and find good, loving furever homes for the kitties. The adoption rate is very good and the feedback on them is excellent. We get many letters and donations from these adopters!

Doggie Daycare Opens Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays
… We are happy to announce that this week starting 03-01-12 Doggie daycare will be open full days…Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. Doggie Daycare is growing and we will be opening 6 days per week in the very near future.
